A few months ago I got an e-mail from Brooke inquiring about a formal bridal session, and I seriously don't get to do these enough despite the fact that they're one of my favorite sessions ever, so I was ecstatic. The best part was that I didn't know her, which I know sounds funny, but meeting new people is one of my favorite things about this business, and just life in general.
It's easy for your friends to see your stuff and book you because they know and love you, but people that you literally met because of your business is proof that people are seeing your work. If you're a fellow business owner, you know getting your name out there can be tough and a slow process, but confirmation comes and it feels good.
When I met Brooke, I swear it felt like we'd known each other forever. Her mom dropped her off and was so sad to have to leave to go get her bouquet they'd forgotten, and like most moms, was just following through with the whole I'd-do-anything-for-you attitude. I assured her we wouldn't let her miss the whole session, so we were about halfway through when she made it back. There's something about a mother-daughter bond, especially when the daughter is in her wedding gown for the first time. I have a one year old, so I can only imagine the pride and bittersweet feelings a wedding for your child must bring. But one thing I do know for sure is that I love capturing those emotions from my side of the camera and I'll never be anything but immensely grateful for that.
Here are some of my favorites from this session. Thanks for following along on this little dream of mine.
XOXO, Taylor
