I remember when I first dove into weddings, shooting at the Historic Mankin Mansion was on my #goals list. I was so honored to have the opportunity to shoot here for a second wedding, this time with Kristina and Spencer!
Kristina and I go WAAAAAY back, like grade school back. Like many, many sleepovers back. I’ve said it a thousand and one times, but one of the absolute coolest and most fun things about this business is forming new relationships and rekindling old ones. I’ve known Kristina for like ever, and when she asked me to be her wedding photographer, it was a huge honor (read: understatement of the century).
We did their engagement session in between downpours one afternoon. I convinced her to come despite the weather, because she’d already made plans for hair and makeup and we didn’t have anything to lose. Plus, overcast is gorgeous, too! And when it rained on their wedding day, we were all the more thankful we’d been through this together before :)
From her details, to her dress, to the love these two share that legitimately radiates effortlessly, it was the perfect day.
