Married | The Anderson's

Allysa entered my Valentine's Day giveaway last year, and that's how this whole thing got started. The way to enter was to submit a picture and tell me a little about your love story, because duh, Valentine's Day and also because I'm just a sucker for a good love story.

Trevor and Allysa's story begins in sixth grade - that's impressive, right? This speaks to how strong their love is and how incredible they each are individually because let me tell you, I'm confident there is no man (including my husband) that could've endured the immense change from my awkward middle school days to now. None. Heck, I'm only still around to see how this continues to play out because I don't have much of a choice. ;) (kidding, kind of. Seriously, those middle school years were brutally awkward. I have yearbook pictures as proof!).

I'd try to tell this in my own words but it wouldn't do their sweet story justice, so here's what Allysa submitted:

"Trevor and I met in the sixth grade at Bailey Bridge Middle School, and throughout our years there we exchanged young, awkward flirting and love notes. When we finished the eighth grade, we ended up going to different high schools and kept in touch for a few months, but eventually lost contact. A few years later, by fate or an act of God, we ended up working at the same grocery store when we turned 16. We exchanged conversations for a few years while we were working together, and all of our young middle school feelings came flooding back. In our senior year of high school, after work one night, he asked me to prom - and the rest is history."

As most of my client interactions begin, after many e-mail exchanges, I met up with them in Starbucks to go over their contract and get to know them better. I will never forget how genuinely engaged Trevor was with every word that came out of Allysa's mouth; how he lit up by pure contagion of her excitement to discuss wedding plans. Believe it or not, I don't always have these same interactions with engaged couples, but when I do, it's refreshing. The pure, I'd-do-anything-for-her type of interactions, and I'm fully invested and counting down to the big day.

Trevor and Allysa became husband and wife on May 13, 2017 at The Hanover Arts and Activities Center. The girls got ready at The Henry Clay Inn, and the day itself couldn't have been more perfect.

Thank you, Trevor and Allysa, for having me. Here are my personal favorites to tell the story from throughout their wedding day straight out of a fairytale!

XOXO, Taylor

On this day, 34 years ago, these two met. Allysa's dad surprised her mom with their own special dance to celebrate.... few dry eyes in the room!

When his dad gave his speech, he fell apart while talking of his son. The domino effect happened and I also fell victim. There was SO much love shared on this day.
